Boardsmith a small, focused collection of daily word and logic puzzles. Rather than an endless catalogue, we keep a handful of familiar, high-quality games and polish them properly.

What Boardsmith is

Boardsmith is a small collection of daily word and logic puzzles. Every player gets the same puzzles on the same day, so when you finish one you have solved the exact game as everyone else that day.

The collection of games is small on purpose, to ensure a high level of quality. Some games are about finding forced moves; others ask you to try a route and revise it. Everything is free to play, there are no ads, and you do not need an account to start.

How it works

New puzzles are published overnight. Mini Crossword has one daily puzzle; Hashi, Chess Solitaire, Word Ladder and Mini Sudoku have easy, medium and hard puzzles. Completing any puzzle counts towards your daily streak. Completing a game’s main set unlocks its optional Expert bonus.

Your progress saves in your browser automatically. If you create a free account, verified completions, your daily streak and stats follow you across devices. Unfinished games stay in the browser where you started them.

Hi 👋 I'm Kieran Smith, a software developer in the United Kingdom. I built Boardsmith because I wanted somewhere to play a few well-made, high quality daily puzzles without ads, popups or paywalls, and I could not find a place I liked.
